The tour will start at about 09.00 when the car is ready at your door. And then we will drive up to Tampak Siring area to enter the graceful Gunung Kawi temple. Gunung Kawi is one of the oldest site on the island. Located in Pakerisan river, it comprises 10 rock-cut candi (shrines) that are carved into some 7-metre-high (23 ft) sheltered niches of the sheer cliff face. These funeral monuments are thought to be dedicated to King Anak Wungsu of the Udayana dynasty and his favourite queens. On the east side there are five temples that are dedicated, according to one theory, to King Udayana, his queen Mahendradatta, and their sons Airlanga, Anak Wungsu, and Marakata. The temples on the west side are dedicated, according to the same theory, to the king’s minor queens or concubines.
If you are wearing proper Balinese temple clothes, we can enter inside the temple. Where you can sit down and meditate for a couple of minutes.
And then we will drive up to Kintamani area. Before reaching the second venue to stop, we will have lunch at Warung Kadek, it is indeed my favorite place to eat. Do you know why the Ayam betutu at this place is special and super yummy? It’s because the chicken that used on your plat was just been caught and cook several minutes before it served on your plate. One day I ask Ibu Kadek, the cook, “What kind of chicken is this?” and she said “Oh, that was the chicken that you saw run around here several minutes ago.” That’s how fresh the ingredients are! So, this one will be disappointing.
And then arrive at Toya Bungkah, approximately at about 15.00 for a hot bath. Having a hot bath just beside the lake is a different level of luxury. Super good!
