Vilnius and Kernave

Enjoy this tour and take the opportunity to see two vital towns for the history of Lithuania. You will explore Kernave with its UNESCO-protected hill-forts and Vilnius Old Town. You can customize this tour and include optional sites for free – Dukstas forest path with a wooden Pagan sculptures. Also you can choose Uzutrakis mansion, Peter and Paul Church in Vilnius and Uzupis district.

Once you are picked up by your guide at your accommodation, you will head to Gediminas tower in Vilnius to take a look at the Historic Centre. Later you will stroll in the old town.

Then you will head to Kernave, the first Lithuanian capital which takes 40 minutes by driving from Vilnius. On the way it is possible to visit the Cognitive Walkway of Dukstos Oakwood.

Kernave was the medieval capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and today is a tourist attraction and an archaeological site. Once you reach it, you will explore 5 hill forts, archaeology museum and handmade souvenir shops. After lunch you will head back to Vilnius, where you will do some more sightseeing in the old town.
